What is the CHED Tulong Dunong Scholarship 2024?

Congressman Eric Yap recently announced the opening of the CHED Tulong Dunong Scholarship program for the academic year 2024-2025 via a Facebook post. He is inviting applications from all interested and eligible freshmen college students enrolled in any undergraduate program for the school year 2024-2025.
This scholarship program is highly beneficial to Filipino students, particularly those who cannot afford to attend college. It offers a valuable opportunity for Filipino students to complete their college degrees for free or to reduce their financial burden.
Scholarship Benefits
Every qualified CHED scholar in the CHED TDP Scholarship program will receive a grant of Php 7,500.00 per semester.
Number of Slots
The CHED TDP Scholarship program offers over 1,000 slots for scholarships, with an additional 4 slots allocated to each barangay.
Qualifications
To apply for the CHED TDP Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a resident of Benguet.
- Open to all freshmen enrolled in any 4-year course.
- Must not be a recipient of any existing government-funded assistance.
- Combined household gross income must not exceed Php 400,000.
- Must be enrolled in a first undergraduate degree program at State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), CHED-Recognized Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs), or CHED-Registered Private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Requirements
To apply for the CHED TDP Scholarship, you need the following documents:
- Accomplished Application Form: Submit 2 copies of the completed TDP-TES Application Form with a 2×2 ID photo attached.
- Proof of Enrollment: Provide 1 original and 1 photocopy of the Certificate of Registration or Enrollment for the 1st Semester of AY 2024-2025 (Certified True Copy is acceptable).
- Certificate of Indigency of Parents/Guardian: Include 1 original and 1 photocopy of the Certificate of Indigency, signed by the Punong Barangay, as proof of income. (Purpose: Financial Assistance).

The CHED TDP Scholarship program opens on August 5, 2024. The deadline for applications has not yet been announced.

- Applications can be submitted starting August 5, 2024, at the District Office.
- Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s best to apply as early as possible.
- All applications will be reviewed and assessed by CHED. If accepted, you will receive scholarship support throughout your 4-year course without needing to reapply each year.
- Regardless of your background or place of birth, as long as you are a resident of Benguet, you are eligible to apply.
